Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Everyone is invited to the annual East Pierre Garden Center Festival and Paws will be there!

We’ll be bringing along some of our current shelter dogs and selling fun items to raise money for the shelter! Check out details on the event below, along with a sneak preview of some of the items we will be offering!

When: Saturday October 22nd, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Where: East Pierre Garden Center,  5400 E. SD Hwy 34, Pierre

Fees: Free admission! Kids games are 25 cents each.

What to expect

• Free cookies and apple cider.
• Door prizes every hour!
• Multiple vendors including farmer’s markets, arts and crafts.
• 1:00 – 3:00 pm – Kids games (25 cents each), face painting and pumpkin painting. Come and meet Mrs. Scarecrow!
• 2:00 pm  – Miniature garden workshop. Sign up ahead of time by calling 224-8832. $30 fee per garden.
• 3:00 pm – Wine and beer tasting courtesy of Capital City Liquors.
• 3:00 pm – Music by the Hidden Timber Band.

What Paws will be offering

• Cupcakes by Jen Uecker of Sugar Mammas.
• Adorable 2017 Paws cat and dog desk calendars.
• Paws cat and dog greetings cards.
• Paws “Adopt Don’t Shop” t-shirts.
• Homemade doggy treats.
• Special guest appearances by some of our shelter dogs!
