Paws Update 4-29

Greetings, animal lovers! Since the last update, we’ve (almost) said goodbye to snow, the flowers and trees are in bloom, and we’ve adopted out a heck of a lot of cats and dogs! Below is a summary of the latest adoptions and upcoming events at Paws to bring you up to speed.

Upcoming Events
  • Monday, May 15th from 5pm to 7pm – Fiesta Dinner at the American Legion Cabin, Pierre
  • Saturday, July 1st  from 8am to 11am – Save a Stray 5K Fundraiser Run
Recent Adoptions
Koicide went to live with one of our volunteers. She will join former Paws cat, Rocko, and an older resident cat.

Phoebe with her new dad, Josh. She will be living in Rapid City.
Lucy with her new human sisters.
Adorable Cubby was snapped up very quickly.
Chet with his new mom.
Lister now has 6 human siblings!
Heidi went to live with a young couple and will be a companion to their other cat.
Thelma was adopted by a family who recently lost their cat, also adopted from Paws.
Rafiki’s mom fell in love with him at the shelter, but her husband fell in love with Jalisa, so they took both!
Jalisa will have a happy life with fellow Paws cat, Rafiki.
Beautiful Callie was adopted by a young couple and has a canine sibling.
Bailey (now Sunny) was adopted quickly by a nice couple.
Walker was one of our puppies in foster care.
Camo was adopted by Sarah Eddie and Kylor Knox. He now has a lab brother along with feline siblings.
Winter (now Abby) is very happy with her human siblings!
Boswell went to live with a young family.
Sweet Clyde will be living out in the country with his new mom and dad.
Bea is having fun playing fetch with her wonderful new family.
Bonnie is happy cuddling with her new sister, also a Beagle.
Onyx went to live with a family who recently lost their cat. The son picked out Onyx and was so excited to take him home.
Ginger went to live with a couple who tend to have long living cats!
Zeke was very scared of people and was in foster care until we felt he was ready. He is flourishing in his new home!
Rhea’s new mom was incredibly excited to be able to take her home.
El Gato is now called Diablo and his owner says, “he has made my life so much happier.”
Cute little Honey got another chance at her furever home.
