Appeal for Help
As many of you will know, we regularly contact Hughes County pound to check for dogs and cats found at large, surrendered, or recovered by law enforcement. At the end of the pound’s 5-day hold, these animals are either claimed by their owners, taken in by animal shelters, or euthanized. Last week we took in two dogs suffering from untreated medical conditions. We couldn’t stand by and let these dogs be put to sleep when we believe they could both recover and flourish in a new home.
Jupiter is an 8-year-old female white German Shepherd. Pluto is a 9-month-old male black lab mix. Both dogs have severe mange and skin infections. Their lymph nodes are very swollen and their systems are fighting off infection, which means we have to be careful with the treatment they are given and avoid vaccinations at this point. Despite their conditions, they are both incredibly loving, well mannered and house trained.
We are appealing for your help to cover the cost of their ongoing medical treatment. Their are several ways to donate, as shown on our Donations page. Alternatively, donations can be given directly to All Creatures Animal Hospital, where Jupiter and Pluto are receiving treatment.
Thank you for your continued support of Paws Animal Rescue and our wonderful dogs and cats.
